I'd have to agree, as I'm in the process of rebuilding an A14 to give me 80hp, without touching the bottom end of the motor.

I don't even know for sure how much I have spend so far but it must be getting close to $1000 with a bit more to go.

New gaskets, ignition parts, the tool you need each time you get stuck...

Rebuilding an engine get real expensive real fast...unless it's just me - but ask some of these guys what they have spent on their cars, and if they will tell you...be ready for a shock.

The cheapest to 'service' an A14 so it will go again at maybe 70-75hp would probably be around $400 I'd say to make sure it was reliable enough to last more that a few starts.

I continue to be suprised how much money goes into a 'budget' build.
