Is it visible in daylight? I'd say that's a problem. But if you can only see it at night, it may not be a problem.

What I would do is put it under full load, then use a volt-meter on the battery to make sure it's 13.5-14.9 volts at about 1200rpm. If it's under that you may need a higher-output alternator
