i would have thought that someone seriously wanting to put a RB26 in a 1200 would know that with the brakes you'll need the biggest possible, and the suspension will need heaps of work front and back, including heavy springs with matching shocks and swaybars at the front so you can turn coners wtih the weight of the engine, and at the back it would almost be worth getting rid of the leafs all together and getting a 4-link or similar. then again you could just keep it standard and see how long you live? sorry i don't think that other peoples opinions should matter, anything is possible, it is just if you have the time and/or money to do it. good luck with it if you do choose to go ahead
