Ihave used a Pertronix electronic ignition, it's less than a hundred dollars (USD) and you'll never change points again. well worth the money, and uses a standard 3 ohm coil. as for perfomance, not a noticable gain, unless pionts were worn, but consistant at higher RPM's ( no point bounce )
