Just as a follow up: Not being able to procure the bracket, I hit the scrap yard. I used a bracket from an 80's Nissan Sentra (front wheel drive) and just had to hammer the curves out of it. It doesn't allow for a lot of adjustment of the alternator, so you have to measure carefully and get the right V belt for it. (I ended up with a 32.5" belt.)

I'm still looking for the proper bracket, but the Sentra model works with just a slight hammer massage

BTW, Here's the compressor/alternator mounting bracket that came on the car. This thing is .250" (6.5mm) thick and weighed around 25 pounds (11.5kg) or so!
