try this, maybe i'm wrong. Put your foot on the break, make sure the pedal is down good, now crank the e brake handle a bunch of times, do this with the button held in so it won't wear the thing out. This is how the self adjuster should work. you might have to do it 50 times to get it to hold tight.

now if the Au models work different than that may not work. I use only non factory parts, and they fit pretty good in my experience, not that i haven't had to grind a pad backing to slide properly, but it wasn't a design problem 1 was just sloppy.
