fat_120y i hope you have also addressed the streering. im asuming that the its the same between 120ys and 1200s, it is super slow.. belive me that is the last thing you want when you start to put on opi.. also you want at least 14" rims, dont get them too skinny or you wont be able to control the drift, stiffish suspension helps i saw a while back some coilovers on hear with s13 brakes for $1200 cheap, also you could use some meaty saybars. a desent clutch is nessesary especaly if your in an underpowered car it will need a few kicks around the longer corners to keep them spinning. a supportive seat and 4 point harness is manditory and a nice round wheel helps not too big or small... datsuns are light as paper put they also have the chassis stiffness or thin trees aswell so a half cage and strut braces would help to reduce this alot..
at the end of the day it would be cool to see a datto drift, its a hard and expensive task.. it would be much much cheaper to buy a ae71/ke70 rwd corrolla preferabley an ae71 weld the diff get some suspencion under it and there you go a budget drift car that wont brake the bank.. but its up to you.. what do you actualy want to do with the car and how far do you want to go?? thats the real question..........
i hope this helps in some way..
