1200 flywheel on an A14 or A15.
I didn't take any pictures of the flywheel. Dan Hall made it look very much like the drawing in the tech section from Datsun competetion.
I posted this into the other thread about manual into auto swaps. Decided to bring it here too.
The Aa14/15 motors have slightly larger flywheel bolts.
You may want to drill out the 6 holes in the 1200 flywheel just a bit. .5mm should be enough. 1200 flywheel bolts are 9.45mm across the threads. The A14 flywheel bolts are 9.86mm across the threads.
I had the flywheel bolts shear off when a friend was driving the converted rally car during an autocross. Didn't think an A15 with 1200GX head and SU's could survive WOT without even a flywheel... but it did. This car had a lightened 1200 flywheel on a A15. Seemed like the bolts were a bit tight going in. Had the bolts in a bind. After drilling out the flywheel holes everything bolted back together and worked for 2 more seasons of autocross.
