Sorry to be hijacking the thread! But yeah that sounds right about the Wolf comp - I am running an EMS Stinger, and in order to get the timing back to around 15 deg, you have to snap off the locating pin from the exhaust cam and then manually adjust it... pain in the ass!!

I found this out because I put a fresh CA in my ute recently, and used the old wiring loom, and the timing was way way out... approx 60 degrees.... turned out to be the CAS and doing what I described above fixed it - started instantly.
