nah should be right usualy if you put to much clear on it will be more likely to fade than with out any at all.
i am studying paint and panel at tafe they have taught us when using acrylic to only use clear on metalic colours.
If you decide to use clear mix a bit of the coular with i like about 5 or 10%

i didnt use any clear on my 1200 and it came up sweet..
