The suzuki is a top bike this year it always has been each year, but either the yam or suzuki will be so good it would take a hell of alot of time to pick the differences on the road and track. Back in 2004 I bought a spankin Kawasaki ZX-6R 636 and it wasn't an easy choice either, the reason I chose it over the other 4 (Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha and Triumph) Was the colour, the seat comfort and the midrange power. I think as long as you feel comfortable and like the colour and are happy with the brakes, engine performance and handling you can't go wrong. One thing for sure is it won't be an easy choice as either bike is top notch in every respect. One thing I remember reading about the R6 is the bogus 17500RPM redline, it will hit the redline on the tacho but it is actually only 15600RPM when measured on an aftermarket tachometer
