You definitely need to remove the support bar for the bonnet lock. You then really need to make up an alternative to stop the bonnet flexing under high speed, and potentially flipping open (unless you use bonnet clips).

If it won't fit behind a metal grill, the intercooler is too bloody big in my opinion.

The plastic grilles use completely different body mounting points to hold them on. Including mounting tags from the beaver panel and top of the radiator support panel.
