Hi azza, The horse power calculator I use which is on Gordon Glasgow's site say's that there is approx a 25% drivetrain power loss from the flywheel to the tires. It does however mention a variable that is hard to exactly guage like bad wheel bearings,tranny bearings and the like, that are different from car to car but the formula is a fair avarage to estimate what is at the flywheel. My old Drag car using a small block Ford pegged a 375 HP wheel dyno and was estimated that it was putting 425 hp on the wheels so using the 25% factor put the flywheel hp at over 500!
