It was a lot of work and if I thought about it more I would have had jigs made up for all the neccesary mods so that others would not have to fork out for so much custom work. If you have a decent work shop around that can do the work from start to finish that would be a big help.
all the custom stuff i had done (that I can remeber is) custom cross member custom mounts custom tail shaft race style trans tunnel (I could probably fit a turbo 400 behind the engine) seat mounts radiator custom KMAC sway bar had the water outlet cut and re welded at a diffrent angle list goes on all I can say is it wasnt cheap hasnt been fast but as much as i can tell it will be worth it. I think its the most sensible option it has decent power (variable valve timing) is rated at about 125 kw at the fly wheel so that combined with the weight of the car and the torque of the NA 2 ltr makes for a punchy fast exillerating drive. if i was thinking of a 1/4 mile machine then it would be turboed but my plan is this is a daily driver (280klm round commute to work and back) so It has to be reliable. the engine is un cracked with the only real mods being air intake and exhaust backed up by a stumpy box and h165 (hope it will hold up) I say do it I still have a full head of hair and it isnt grey either so it mustnt be that bad.
