It sort of comes down to whether you want to baby the gears or syncros.... Wearing either will cause you to need service... syncros are cheaper...

mostly what you notice is it doesn't act as much like a syncro box as it should, but still works good...

hehe this is also probably the first service in like 200,000 miles... american bearings and gearboxes don't last anything like that long...
