I've gotten used to it now.
It was harder to shift because you have less leverage. I backed off on detent balls and all was good.

I made this at work during my apprenticeship. There's no way I could get away with that now.
EDIT: I raised the pivot point 1.250"/31.75mm. I somehow did the math before I made it. I compared the different lengths... i forgot. I think I still have my notes somewhere.
