Not much room to fit vice grips, and my mechanic said there's bugger all room to get at the back of the stud.

I was tossing up drilling through the nut or taking to it with a narrow chisel to split the top and weaken it.

I'll pop down tomorrow and look into your idea, anybody got some more ideas?
