Hey Andy, I do understand what you are saying. The GTR's are awesome to drive on and off the road. I suppose you will just have to put the thinking cap on as you currently own the fastest track 1200 in Australia and I love watching the jaws drop on peoples faces when you blow by in it
Stick a set of slicks on your 1200 and it would do a 1.05 at wakefield..how many cars can do that?? The fastest road GTR I have seen at wakefield is the BERRY car and it is a weapon. It did a 1.04 at wakefield but how much have they spent on it??
ah, the Newman/Berry GTR.. that thing has been wiping the floor at all the street sprints up here for the last year. Seriously fast car.
For comparison he runs low 55s at QR Sprint track, I've only been there once on Federal 595SS and ran 1:01.5 (I was trying to win the street tyre class...) I would expect a solid 49, maybe a high 48 on semis.
At Mt Cotton, he's only been there a couple of times and runs low 45s I think. I know the place like the back of my hand, which is a big advantage, but only took the GTR there twice with a best 46.2 (that was on the Bridgestone semis). There's no doubt the Berry GTR can go a sec or two quicker there with more track knowledge.
