Thanks guys,

Yeah I have an aftermarket ECU (EMS 4424) and the battery is in the tray which helps clear up some space in the engine bay.

The heat shrink is an awesome idea - i have heaps of it lying around (my old man is a sparkie)... ill give that a whirl and see how it goes.

I'll take a pic of the engine bay this week and post it up. The hard job is going to be the dash wiring - there is wires going everywhere,wires going nowhere.. out of looms, into looms, its bloody ridiculous! I am leaving that till last - dont want to even think about it at this stage....
