Another thing to consider........

When you get your springs reset, you're flattening out the elipse or curve in your spring.
Essentially, leaf springs are one big cantilever, so if you flatten out the springs, you change your spring rates.

If I was going for lower springs without blocks, I'd be looking at completely new spring packs with a suitable spring rate to match the height setting (JT springs maybe).

Ideally, I'd something like the JT springs or similar, but being on a budget I decided to go with the lowering blocks.
In an effort to reduce axle tramp, I made the blocks 160mm long to reduce the effictive torque reaction on the spring.
It seems to work well so far (no axle tramp), but then I'm yet to try it with super-sticky tyres..... So I might have to revise my opinion after my 1st session at the strip.
