it is 2.5"

it has a 2" to 2.5" expander right up the front where it joins the extractors.

it does go over the axle, its just because its a ute that there is lots of room and can be done very simply.

as for cost:
i worked for this at a mates place who had the steel so its free, he threw the wire in too (aslong as i give it back ot him). He said it "was a bit expensive".

clearance is ok. u can get a "big thumbs" up under it (pull a thumbs up and slide it under the exhausts lowest point) so its not to bad for clearance. but the ute isnt lowered yet so we'll see what happens.

as for the noise: it is loud, i plan to put in a ressy just before it goes over the axle (where the orig muffler is on the old exhaust).
that should keep it quiet and also provide a bit better back pressure to help the webers suck properly.
