Okay - after today I got it up and running.

What I did was remove the hard fuel line and ran some fuel hose from the fuel pump to #2 on the carby. I then ran #1 to a bottle to measure how much was coming out.

Instantly ran fine and a bit was coming out of the return. I blocked off #1 and tried again and it doesn't stall now. Runs a teeny bit rich but it's okay otherwise.

The intake hose you are talking about was plugged, I just took this photo after the carby was mounted so there are thing missing (like the fuel line etc.)

It's off to the dyno next week to get tuned and rejetted as needed.
