Daveman you are maybe thinking of the Power Transister unit.
I'm lead to believe the Dropping resister reduces the voltage to the injectors as the injectors are directly connected to the 12V power supply. The Dropping resister should read 6 Ohms across each of the 4 outputs according to the manual.

Mate i'm not thinking of the power transistor. The body of the dropping resistor is 85x30mm and should have 5 wires running into it. If the part in question matches this description then that's what you have. Otherwise you don't need it.
