hell no! dont you even think of using acrylic,that stuff dosent last these days,it'll look like a flakey vl commodore in no time! use a catalysed clearcoat that complies with the colour coat brand. spend some time sanding back the house paint(ugggh) til its all gone.do the bodywork weld,bog,etc.finish with 180grit.primer it and guide coat with flat black(even a spraycan will do).block it out with 600wetdry then 800wetdry.then layer that phantom blue on real nice,clear it and hey presto youre rollin in style again....
