well as many may know im turboing the a series. i just thought i might tell some people what there up against with doing it. today i finally got the last of the parts and fitted them up thinking yay its going to be going today, oh how i was wrong, first thing this morning i picked up my new oil feed line, $100 later i get it home, not very happy. then i go to fit the drain plug into the sump, using a specialy made tool you punch a hole in the side of the sump and then make a thread, i put the plug in and was so exited i thought i might start the baby up, to my shock it sounded like all hell was breaking loose in my engine, it sounded like there was no oil pumping through so i shut it down and checked it out. soon to find that the plug was too long and hitting on somthing inside the engine (sh,t,crap, whore were the words i think). after shortening that i started it again and found that the exhausts gasket had spat out making another crappy sound, so tommorrow ill try finish and it should....should be going, fingers crossed. the list of problems i have had with doing this project is massive and i now wish i had of just gone the ca heres a few of the many more things that went wrong along the way. -fuel pump pressure overloaded the carby and filled everything with fuel -fuel reg (ebay) seals not sealing (fuel spray everywhere) -fuel fittings blowing off -ihi turbos are crap for getting parts, took more than 15 turbo shops and wreckers to get the correct thread banjo fittings. -and heaps more so beware anyone that thinks a turbo kit is easy.
