no no no no, hell no dont take the head off, not for that, take off your thermostat housing, (2 bolts) take out the thermostat and the sensor is right there, push on it with a screw
driver ect, only do this (drain coolant) with a cold engine to avoid crazking a hot head, and while your at it chuck in a new thermostat if its not been done since you had it. and its all
good, most times if level and the coolant poured slowley enough it will self bleed, but run it up to temp any ways to be sure. good stuff. choice from chris.
