Ebay is a mechanism. I believe it's a great mechanism.

When did you ever ring up trading post newspaper because some guy sold you a dodgy product? Answer=never.

Buying stuff remotely has it's risks. If you don't want the risks, pay more and buy locally. More and more people are getting burned, and Chinese made crap is all that is available..


On a side note:

My dad almost got more for his 30 year old rusty trailer than what he paid for a brand new one.
It turns out the people only wanted to use the trailer for advertising, and they wanted it to be broken down, so long as it could be registered, so it could be legally left on the side of the road for people to see the advertising. Amazing but true.
