to get the tcd (valves) is it the timing mark set at 0 degrees? im confused with setting the clearances. i tried understanding this method but got confused.

he says that when 2 is on the rock check 3; 1 on the rock check 4; when 3 is rocking check 2: 1-3-4-2, but then how do you find out when they are on the rock??
