Hi, My first post, I have a stock '79 ute and have probs with the carby. I put a kit in it and the accelerator pump does seem ok.To make it at all driveable I have to pull the choke out to 3/4. The external linkages were not correctly linked up when I bought the car and are still possibly not correct.I went to Cobar to get a rust free 1200. The people I bought it from said the brakes weren't up to much like all old cars.Drove back to Sydney full throttle or nothing. Pulled the front drums off and quess wot? Twin trailing shoes the local mechanic had done the brakes up, he'd also reinstalled them arse about. He did work on the carby also?
