If you run a suck through then you cant run an intercooler or blow off valve. but if you are having detonation problems because of intake charge being too hot (shouldnt be too much of a problem for a low boost setup) then you can run a water injection system which will dramatically cool the charged air. The A series engines seem to respond to a bit of boost really well and people have got some impressive numbrs from very basic setups
