Can't say I know much about five stud conversions, but since I sold the Stanza struts already I thought I'd do some research for you.

There's an SR20 powered 1200 up in QLD using EF Falcon disc/hubs on 180B struts. Calipers are VL turbo. EF's would be a dime a dozen at any wreckers so I doubt a set of front brakes would command top dollar, and last time I went to pick and payless there were four 180B's in stock. Might just be worthwhile to grab some and have a play around to see if you can make the combo work.

There would be plenty of advantages with this combo. It would definitely suit your rims, the 180B struts are a better fit height wise (and lighter), and there is a magnitude of aftermarket performance braking parts to suit the E series falcs (high quality slotted rotors are relatively inexpensive).
