propane seems the best alternative fuel still, at the moment it's 1/2 the price of petrol and the prices are not rising as fast, sometimes they even go down...

it's not a solution for global warming, but it's the cheapest fuel you'll find commonly.

but it's not common enough in many places. the UK is well set up and much of western europe too, but I didn't see anywhere in my brief time in finland a tank of propane to fill a car off :(

I've started to think switching to propane when i did was a really good idea... there were times it didn't seem very wise... maybe just frustration with the engineering of a system that still allows the car to be fun.

hydrogen fuel cells and electric motors are where hydrogen works, as a combustible fuel it's not really a good choice...
