The ignition switch unscrews from the back of the ignition barrel (key lock).

Or just pull off the wire connector and use a mirror to look at the switch. The starter wire is marked 'S' on the switch.

Jump it here, to see if the wire is OK. It could be the switch is bad. They are only about $25 for a new switch.
