I remember reading about Dr Felix Wankel, the guy who invented the rotary, and how while he was first working on the project almost to the point of completion, he was abducted by Hitlers army and forced to work for Ze Germans to design wepons of war and if it hadn't been for world war 2 then the 10A might have been in production in the early 1950's. Just in case anyone was wondering why on the casting of a mazda rotary housing you will find 'wankel' in the casting.
