I find it very hard to believe. 1608cc is about the limit.even then I would use it on the track only. I guess it is possible to squeeze in an E16 crank, but you would have pretty serious angles going on with con rods.
Benny's right on the money.
A 90mm bore in the 77mm stroke A14 block will yeild just over 1959cc. There is no mention of a stroke job, nor is it an A15, but it sure looks like an A series to me.
The center to center bore spacing is a lot less than 90mm, it's much closer to 81 or 82mm, so it's a physical imposibility for an A14 to be "board'[Sic] out to anywhere near 90 or 91mm. The entire cylinder would be removed & the pistons would overlap.
Nobody seems to have successfully & reliably pushed an A15 past about 1608cc & that's with the 5mm longer stroke of 82mm.
It all sounds a bit sus to me.
