seems like adding restriction helped... might need to open it up a bit, but it was noticeably more responsive.

yeeah having a proper air filter and intake in front of the throttle body would work too...

the throttlebody is off a ga16de, so it flows way more than the old a15, but what made it really bad was when i switched to silicone hose for the 90deg bend instead of hard abs plastic, the silicone was about 15% larger inside and that's when things started to run badly.
