720 what? I don't know about what was used in Aussieland, but here in the U.S. the 720 had the H190 rear diff. and the R180 front
diff.
To further explain the 1200 used a H145.
the numbers refer to the inside diamiter of the ring gear. without major modifications there is no way to put either in a 1200 axle
housing.
added to this, as I recall the utes used the H165
diff. all of the "H" series diffs. are live axle units, as in soild rear axle.
The R180 diff is a IRS/IFS unit, again the numbers refer to the inside diamiter of the ring gear.
To put things in a simple statement, you cannot put either of the diffs. that were used in the 720 into a 1200 without serious
modifications.
