Actually, there is only one cam.
The CA18DE is twin cam with the suffix letter 'D' standing for Double[OHC] or perhaps Dual[OHC]
The 'E' suffix is for 'Electronic' & I have presumed that this means Ignition & Fuel injection.
The straight CA18 is a single OHC engine with a carb, a CA18E would have something Electronic & of course the 'T' suffix is for Turbo.

To address the original question asked, I do not know the weight difference, but doubt if it's very much.
The L18 has been a proven performer time & time again for decades. Properly built, they can appear bulletproof & can deliver more performance that a street driven 1200 should ever really need.
The L series carries a legendary status, is relatively easy to find, cheap to buy & easy enough to overhaul.
It's the better, even if lower powered, choice for a 1200 in my view for many good reasons.
