Hello All,
So I stuffed up a bit by putting the Interlac 688 on too early. I was using alot of paint because of the rough surface (if it were a smooth surface you would need much less, smaller surface area).
So I got back into it and put a coat down of Interprime 198 which is a high solids (41%) primer and a great base to build off.
All the paints, primers are compatible, that's the great thing about using multi-purpose surface coats. So putting the Interprime onto the 688 is fine, no issues whatsoever.
Here is how it all turned out:

Here are some shots of the rusty parts....sweet #### all to be honest. All patches were cleaned and cured so don't think I'm just painting over them. The places where the high solids primer have dripped will be worked over. I really had to lay it down in some places.

The spare wheel well has holes through it. It looks like it rusted through from the inside so I'm thinking about filling the holes and putting a fibre-glass lining in, see how it all goes I suppose.
I'll attempt to put the second coat of black paint on the underside. It's saturday though and the pub is mighty appealing.
