A mate of mine swears by this conversion,(A12 head on a A14 block) it raises the compression ratio but at the same time you get excellent economy because of the smaller ports and valves. Tey should be a straight bolt on but before you install just check the head against the block you are installing the actual head to and make sure the the holes all the holes line up, pretty simple really.
