Both 5-speeds for 210 (B310) are the same strength. The 1979 "60L" has the dogleg shift pattern, and 1980-1982 "60A" has the regular shift pattern.
The rare 56a 5-speed was used behind A12 and A13 racing engines. The horsepower doesn't affect the transmission, it is the torque that does. It is fairly easy to brake a 56-series, the racers treated them gently.
And don't forget the other factory 5-speed: the 63A from the 1976-1978 B210. It's a big heavy gun of a sun. Overkill for an A12/A13, or even for an an A15.
