Woodie, I dont think there was a 63A 5 speed that wasn't a dogleg box. All the normal boxes were the 71a's, with 71 mm's between the shafts. Are you sure this isn't a normal 4 speed with worn shifters so it'll slip into the 5 position & there wasn't anything there, like some 56a 4 speeds. Even the 63a 5 speed in the 200B coupe was a dogleg box. Check the case for the number on the side, or whether the output shaft will turn when you put the shifter into the 5th position. & if you want to go to a normal shift pattern, my racing partner has a normal pattern 5 speed 60a, maybe he'll be open to a swap.
