In all fairness I flicked an e-mail to him when I wrote my previous post & I got a reply at about 2:40am [yes, I was still up] to apologise for the error & to advise that my car was now in the B10 list as I had requested. I checked & sure enough, all fixed.
Can't complain about that.

The problem revolved around the fact that my car is no longer an Aussie spec Datsun 1000 Coupe but a Jap spec Sunny Coupe GL & he simply saw the Sunny model name & acted accordingly. It's all good.

I don't envy him the workload in keeping the chassis numbers in order as I have just done something similar in a BMX forum with Aussie made Quicksilver bikes in order to unlock the secrets that these frame numbers held. Moving numbers all over the place in a post became a pain, but fortunately the objective was achieved & the secrets of almost three decades have now been revealed.
