Yes.

A15 pros :
- no fabrication
- you can use club registration if it's only used for club activity. Saving ~$1000/yr
- no wiring
- no cooling
- no big brakes

CA18det pros:
- smoother to drive
- more torque
- better fuel in city economy
- less maintenance
- you get a 5 speed
- big learning experience.


Basically a CA18 is a learning experience. An a15 is a quick fix that allows you to stay on the road with a 1 day install.

I learned a lot about engines, welding, cooling, suspension, wiring etc etc in my CA18 install. I've also taught a lot of other people as a result of the hard/stressful days of learning things the hard way.
