ok with the ute having a ca18det it will be fine to pass but you will need an engineers certificate to get it passed as every state is different with different laws(which i think is stupid). Im not too sure about the diff but i am sure that the engineer will be able to tell you. There is only one engineer i know but am not sure if he does engine changes, the next time i see him i will ask. He comes to my work to get all of the cars we work on engineered, hes pretty good and thorough but dont know his pricing but the pits will know some engineers. The person best to speak to is bill burrows in the tech section of the pits in welshpool. They are the best to go to, hope that helps
