Remember boys play nice I personally remember my friend adam had a 1200 sedan 14 turbo etc it ran low 12's at eastern creek but spat out boxes can't beat launching on slicks used to pull the wheels quite impressivley, it is quite easy for a "good " engine to run like #### if it is not tuned properly cam timing , jetting , timing etc , there are plenty of tuff A series motors out there I also remember a Blue 1200 coupe that was in hot 4's magazine 1608 cc A15 webers etc ran 13.7 in full street trim it is all about power to weight gearing etc and knowing how to drive ie anyone can sidestep the clutch but it don't get you anywhere fast . Some cars are built for a purpose the ultimate would be an overbored/ stroked A series for capacity to about 2 litres a nice turbo , then it would have good chassis balance , but getting a gearbox to hold up to it is another world of problems as my old coupe with mild A15 went through 4 stock boxes and 3 toyota t series boxes , AH but i was young and loved dumping the clutch. The CA is better than SR anyway due to superior rocker can't beat cam over bucket verses ####ty rockers , Cast block verses alloy stronger again there is no real weight benefit as the engine is larger , harder to fit nothing a grinder won't fix but you can't beat cubic inches give me a 2.2 litre CA I say . Enough of this rambling see get me thinking and I start typing crap
