Hi Everyone. Up for auction is a 1967 Datsun 1000, 2 door sedan. This car was purchased as a wreck with the intension of turning it into a 'budget race car' The condition of the car is such that it would need a lot of work and $$$ to have it restored to road worthy condition, which is why we thought it would be a good frame for a small racer. The rust has been roughly cut out, filled and the whole car given a rough paint (white) the decals you see are stickers. I need to emphasize that this has been started as a 'budget project' but it has the potential to be something fun and a good start for someone wanting to get into club or low-key motor sport. Car was running and i had a drive before we started modifying it. Here is what has been done to the car. INTERIOR: - interior stripped, old race seat and original front seats included. EXTERIOR: - All lights, grills fitted. - rear bumper included but not fitted - originally blue, now white, not cut back, sticker decals fitted - all windows fitted excluding windscreen and rubber. chrome locking strips included. - Bonnet included, not fitted in photos. BRAKES: - front drum brakes converted to disc brakes with new S13 silvia rotors, and Land Cruiser calipers mount to a custon made plate. Wheel spacers need to be purchased to suit 14 inch rims - VS commodore master cylinder (brake system not hooked up) SUSPENSION/RUNNING GEAR: - New ball joints fitted - original rear end, tail shaft and front end remain - mags included with pirelli P6000, 175/65 tyres ENGINE: - A12, running. - headers fitted - original intake with weber 32/36 adaptor plate and carb fitted - Engine mount shifter to allow for headers ELCETRICAL - Engine is wired for a push button start. (battery not included) - Battery cut-off has been roughly fitted, and original leads disconnected (was next job) Car is rolling, will turn over (fuel not connected - hasn't been run with new carb setup) Car is located in Werribee, Vic.
