I will take some more photos, I have welded a throttle cable bracket onto the side of the rear runner.
Yes I have driven it a few times with this set up, performance and response is very good. I havent driven a standard A15 for comparison though.
ddiesel, i think because the manifold is made of steel it seems to absorb the heat from the nearby extractors and warms the runners. It is a bit rough / lumpy at idle whilst cold but once its warmed up it seems to be ok. I dont have a choke hooked up, havent seemed to need it to start although it would help in warming the motor up I guess.
I am unsure wether having the longer runners robs much horsepower, it seems to be very willing to rev, I dont know how hard you can rev these motors yet? i stopped when i got to 160km/h as i only have a 4 speed, it still feels like it has a lot to give at that speed though.
As for making these to sell, I am unsure... if it turns out to be a good thing then I dont see why I cant make up a few if people are interested, although at the moment it is just for a bit of fun and to get my ute on the road and regod.
I had previously had twin dellorto 45's on the motor, and thought that they were massively over fuelling the motor. Turns out that the distributor I robbed from the 1200 motor (which i removed because it was running rough) had a BENT SHAFT?! the cam lobe thing was wobbling around and only opening the points for 2 cylinders and just skimming the third!
So the twin setup will probably work fine now... But Im having a bit of a crack at this single manifold for fun.
