Finally time for an update on my slow project. Geez, didn't quiet realise the effects of the GFC had hit so hard until lately. I used to be buying things for my ute every month or two and now I am struggling to get the basics to keep the project on track. Anyway I didn't come to post up about being poor from the global financial effects, I came to give an update.
Due to a stint in hospital for brain surgery things had started slowing down on the datto. Now fully recovered and ready to begin work again I started grinding down the diff brackets with my mate Steve. After getting both grinders going at it on one diff for 2hrs cutting off all unnecessary brackets we destroyed like 5 or 6 discs!! Chucked a bit of paint on the finished side and will grind down the rest this week, then off to get it cut down to size. I will post up some pics of this process. Once I get it back it will be cleaned up and off to get powdercoated. Then new rear shocks, reset the leaf springs. Acid/steam the calipers and mount the handbrake cable.

Thats it for now, it's good to be back.
