Our old sunny had basic seam welding around the front strut towers, rear suspension mounts and that was all that we had, we had a very basic cage (didnt go to front towers) and its still going.

My current 1200 coupe that im building is seamwelded around front towers, rails and gearbox mount, my cage picks up on the rear spring hanger mounts and still doesnt go to front towers, i have found no need to go to front towers as it doesnt seem to flex. Ill post up some photos in the next couple of days to show.

As been said before, contact local club and go have a look at what people are doing with there cars.
cheers
Ethan
